Bernard (or BK), is a recent college graduate of Baylor University and is working towards becoming a feature filmmaker. His love for film can be traced back to his first videos a decade ago. Collaborating with his best friend, they began their journey in filmmaking together, conceptualizing and shooting their own films.

Since then BK has made dozens of films and has a deep passion for writing, directing and editing his own material. His work has garnered numerous awards and acclaim, with each project upstaging his last.

His ultimate dream, whether its writing, directing or editing, is this:

                                                   To be a storyteller

More often then not BK is a complete hands on editor. Editing has been a real passion since he began cutting a decade ago on two VHS decks.

Since then he has cut all of his own projects from short films, to music videos, interviews, camp videos, and promos. BK also has experience cutting other director’s work including music videos and a feature film.

“I see editing as my strength and its no surprise it’s my favorite part of production. I love finding the story within the pieces of the project and seeing a concept bloom from start to finish.“

BK is pursuing a career in editing and hopes to continue his pursuit towards becoming a feature film editor and all around filmmaker.

Currently he works in Trailer Editing.

As an editor I have my own tools of the trade.

I typically operate on a Mac Pro and use Final Cut Studio. But I will also use Avid Media Composer.

You can check out my filmography at

Movies, stories, music, pictures, lights, color, splendor...

There are two movies that initially convinced me to be a filmmaker, Die Hard and The Matrix. After seeing the latter I knew that I just wanted to make movies. Since then various directors and films from all over the world have inspired me.

My four favorite working filmmakers today; Martin Scorsese, Michael Mann, David Fincher and Christopher Nolan.

Music and sound also inspire me, specifically the sounds and lyrics of U2, The David Crowder*Band and Andy Hunter.

Breathtaking images. Sunrises, sunsets. A city made of light. A glorious night.

And most inspiring, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Words and images can’t truly describe just how amazing God’s love is for us. I continually try to reveal the world that he has shown me.
